Published in 1928 by SPES, Tales of Armor and Argoat is one of Charles Le Goffic’s most representative collections devoted to Brittany and its traditions.
Illustrated by F. Jubier, the volume gathers stories inspired by Breton landscapes, folklore, beliefs and local customs. From Armor, the land of the sea, to Argoat, the wooded inland country, the author recreates a world shaped by oral tradition and regional identity.
The book is dedicated to Canon Hippolyte Le Goffic, dean of Étables. This copy is of particular bibliophilic interest as it bears an authorial inscription to Paul Reboux.
